This Load Limit Switch has been calibrated on a 6 x 36 construction wire rope, typical type for the hoists.

Due to the fact that a variety of wire rope constructions are in use on hoists, and each one may stretch more or less, we recommend an initial lift test to verify the accuracy of the Load Limit Switch.

Lift a known weight to the limiters capacity to test if the power will be cut off.

Should the limiter not cut off the power, then the type of wire rope is of different construction and Load Limit Switch needs a simple adjustment which is step by step described below.
